Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT)

In the quest for holistic well-being, reflexology is gaining popularity, and one such innovative approach is Vertical Reflex Therapy (VRT). Developed by renowned reflexologist Lynne Booth, VRT takes a unique stance, quite literally.

Traditional reflexology requires clients to recline during sessions. VRT, however, takes a different approach by having clients stand or sit, applying pressure to reflex points on the tops (dorsum) of their weight-bearing feet. This groundbreaking method is believed to yield an accelerated response and potentially more effective results for a range of health issues such as orthopaedic, mobility and musculoskeletal issues; brain injuries, strokes; Parkinson’s disease; frozen shoulder and whiplash injuries to name but a few.

One distinctive advantage of VRT is its focus on improving posture and body alignment. By targeting reflex points while the client is upright, the therapy aims to positively influence body alignment, potentially alleviating issues related to poor posture and injures, therefore contributing to an overall sense of balance.

Advocates of the Vertical Reflex Technique assert that the upright position facilitates increased energy flow throughout the body. By stimulating reflex points on the feet, the therapy aims to enhance the balance of the central nervous system, potentially leaving clients feeling more invigorated and revitalized.

While it’s not a substitute for medical treatment, many individuals find VRT to be a valuable complementary approach to their overall wellness journey.  Clients benefit from a personalized and attentive approach as I tailor sessions to individual needs, ensuring a bespoke experience that addresses specific wellness goals.

VRT is adaptable for all ages and conditions, and suitable for those in wheelchairs.
